Unfortunate Man

I was with a friend of mine this afternoon and we drove past the electricity department building in 52nd street on our way to have some lunch.
On the building's wall we saw one of those black signs; first I thought it was one of the black signs of Muharram and Ashoura but then I looked closer and could read the words on it; the sign was mourning one of the department's workers who "died of an electric shock…"
I suddenly found myself laughing. Sometimes something truly sad can be ironic in a funny way as well, that's the best I can say to explain.
The poor man escaped car bombs and mortars and survived through three wars, not to mention terrorists and death squads. And he dies of an electric shock, although we hardly get an hour of electricity a day.
How unfortunate that man was!

Is that America?

I have always respected the United States of America, because it made its own people live in a better way and it try to do the same to the whole world.
But after the 9th of April my view changed within time.
The free world succeeded in building a civilized nation by separating the church from the state.
In Iraq, America started to mix between religion and politics. I can't here blame the Iraqi people who have simple and naïve thinking. But for sure I will blame America
America started to liberate Iraq and at the same time started to consult a religious man and it gave him a holy place that he didn't have at the dictators time.
And when I read Paul Bremer book I was shocked by the countless times he want the advice of the religious man.
Does that religious man know everything even the rules of elections and we don't have any experience about elections in Islam!
This religious man (Known as Marjaia) help America by his statement about not to fight the American army.
But continuous needs for his advices and Fatwas made him put his nose in everything.
By putting the religious man in his place and the politician in his place is the right thing in my point of view. And this will help to resolve most of the problems of Iraq.

I Quit

Yesterday as usual during my work in my clinic and when I have an appointment for one of my relative or friends I finished other appointments just little bit before 4 pm to check my friend who have toothache.
My friend came and he has a digital camera so I ask him did he want to be a photographer and he was an engineer?
Laughed my friend and he said " I want to chronicling my life in Baghdad ", and he take some pictures for me and for the clinic, anyhow I extract his wisdom tooth and gave him the instructions and we left the clinic.
After that I went to my friend home which we use to have a BBQ and drinking every Thursday and sleep in his home due to curfew which start at 9.00 pm.
My mobile phone ring for many time with unknown numbers, and here I didn't answer any unknown numbers so I put the phone on silent.
Our night finished and I went to sleep and when I weak up in the next day I want to call my mam and I notice there are 15 miss calls.
So for my curious I decide to call this unknown number, and he was building keeper which my clinic in it and he telling me that my clinic is destroyed.
I stop for awhile and told him what did you said???
He said Dr. after you left your clinic about 20 min. there was an explosion and your clinic has been badly damaged.
I wait until the curfew ended and I went to my clinic to check it out and I saw a seen that shocked me totally.
And then the doorman came to told me the events.
Mini bus stopped in front of the clinic and broke down, people came to help, and they saw a teenage between 15 to 16 years old and talking with a different accent than Iraqi probably it was Saudi accent which made them suspicious and they checkout the minibus and they founded it full with explosive materials so they the Husainya guards and they call some guys to take him (people said they from Al-mahdi militia) after they busted him.
And then (doorman still talk) us troop and Iraqi army and explosive experts came and evacuated the area and exploded the bus and then the fire fighters came to control the fire.
I laughed from this story but the too many witness confirm him, and I said if the explosive experts was here and we have this massive damage.
Nothing survives from my clinic only picture for Virgin Merry.
Now I forced to leaved my work without any prior notice

That was wrong strategy Mr. President

Three days ago I was in my car planning to go to my clinic in down town of Baghdad and I was listening to radio Sawa which I admire and the program known as SawaChat.
Then I heard someone talking in that program and he was talking so open and honest in away that I like to hear everyday, and he said" we don't deserve the American scarifies"
And I have reached to only one conclusion which is "we are the kind of people that don't deserve the American blood and money".
We are proud of our ancient history that didn't change much in our recent days.
We still proud of our past and don't think of our future.
I parked my car in the park and went on feet in front of HUSAINYA (Shiite mosque) where the loudspeakers are so loud like they were calling on deaf people.
I use to speak to my friends when I went back home, but most of them had left Iraq and only few of them remain due to the issue of the new passport that coast now 524$ only 24$ is for the government and the rest as corrupting or which named now a days as " make things work ".
And because I have just only 3 friends not more today and because of anger and sadness I decided to write.

Dear sir you are making mistakes one after another.
You want to spread democracy in a country where people don't know how to think till now, they only know how to eat, sleep and breed.

In my point of view Mr. President and some people of my country, we don't deserve the tax money of the American people and the lives of the American soldiers.
The American people are more civilized and they must stop supporting you doing us this favor, such favors when done to civilized people will be appreciated, but especially us and the Arabic countries in general are barbarian communities refuse the change by all means even if the change is in there sake.

Mr. President I hope that you reconsider your new strategy and think twice about the souls and the money of your generous people.

Sir our country doesn't need strategic solutions, but they want a civil, national and sectarian war, So let them have it
